Billing

How billing works

How voice and video minutes are counted and priced, and how packages apply.

Voxera charges for the minutes people spend in rooms. Rates are per 1,000 minutes, and current prices are on the pricing page.

What's counted

TypeWho it applies to
Audio speakerA user publishing audio
Audio listenerA user who's only listening
VideoA user receiving video, charged by the quality they receive

How minutes are counted

  • Each user's session is rounded up to the next whole minute. A session of 90 seconds counts as 2 minutes.
  • If a user reconnects to the same room within 30 seconds, it stays the same session. A short network drop doesn't start a new rounded minute.
  • Usage we can't measure is never treated as free, and we never add minutes that weren't measured.

Video quality

Video is charged per viewer, based on the quality that viewer actually receives. A viewer on a slow network who receives SD is charged the SD rate, even if the host publishes in HD.

TierTypical resolution
SDUp to 540p
HD720p
FHD1080p

To limit the cost, set Maximum Video Quality Tier (Budget Ceiling) on the project in the console, and choose the publish tier with videoQuality.

Paying

Your organization has one balance, and all of its projects draw from it. Deposits are USDT on TRC-20: send the funds, then submit the transaction hash in the console. The funds post once the transaction is verified.

Minute packages

A package gives you a set number of prepaid minutes that last for a set period. See what's available on the pricing page, and subscribe in the console.

Minutes covered by a package don't draw on your balance. If a session only partly fits in what's left, the rest is charged to your balance at the normal rate.

Check what you have left under Packages in the console.

See your usage

The Usage page in the console shows your minutes and charges. To receive totals on your server, use the usage.aggregated webhook.

If your charges don't look right, contact us with the project and time range.
