What a voice chat app needs
Seats and layouts
Take, leave, switch, lock and mute seats. Use the default 9-seat grid, or define your own layout of up to 100 seats.
Speak requests
Listeners ask to speak and the host approves from a queue with a live badge. Hosts can also invite someone to a seat.
Moderation
Mute, kick and ban, lock chat, and assign admins before they join. The server checks every action.
Chat, gifts and likes
Chat works with no code. Gifts travel as app messages, and the engine can batch them so busy rooms stay readable.
Room music
Play a song from one phone to the room, on its own track or mixed with the microphone.
Clear voices
On-device noise suppression with DeepFilterNet 3 removes fans, traffic and keyboards from the microphone.
Step by step
Create a project
Sign up, create a project in the console and turn on audio. You get the App Key the kit needs.
Get started →Add the audio room kit
Add voxera_audio_room_kit to pubspec.yaml. The kit gets its own tokens with your App Key, so you write no token server and no room UI.
Quickstart →Open a room
Show the room widget with the room ID and the signed-in user. Seats, chat, mic and speaker controls and the member list are already there.
Configuration reference →Make it yours
Change colours and every label, or replace the header, seats, messages or controls with your own widgets.
Theming and strings →Connect your backend and launch
Receive signed webhooks for sessions and usage, moderate from your server, and run the production checklist before launch.

Ideas to build
Voice party rooms
Hosts on seats, a crowd of listeners, and requests to join the mic.
Community talk rooms
Topic rooms where admins keep the conversation on track.
Live talk shows
Hosts on seats, guests invited up, an audience listening live.
What it costs to run
Publishing audio counts as speaker time, and only listening counts as listener time, each with its own rate per 1,000 minutes. Rooms with a few voices and a large audience stay cheap, because most people are listeners. Each user's session is rounded up to the next whole minute.
Questions
What do I need to build a voice chat app?
A Voxera project and the Flutter audio room kit. The kit renders seats, chat, controls and moderation from your room data, and gets its own tokens with your App Key.
How many people can speak in one voice room?
The default grid has 9 seats, and you can define your own layout of up to 100 seats. Everyone else in the room listens.
Can hosts moderate the room?
Yes. Hosts and admins can mute, kick and ban, lock seats and chat, approve speak requests and invite users to a seat. The server checks every action.
How is voice chat billed?
Per 1,000 minutes, with separate rates for speakers (publishing audio) and listeners (only listening). Each user's session is rounded up to the next whole minute.
Can I change how the room looks?
Yes. Change colours and labels with the theme and strings, or replace any section of the room with your own widgets.
